Now, having conquered Pavey Ark I did begin to have thoughts of going back down again. I can't deny it, but what stopped me was the thought of going down the North Rake having struggled to get up it in the first place!
So I consulted the map (yes I actually looked at a map) and saw that Thunacar Knott was only 500m or so away and it looked like a fairly gentle stroll to it.
As you can see the landscape is not exactly lunar and it wasn't boggy at all as I made my way across.
A third Wainwright in a day beckoned and within 15 minutes of leaving Pavey Ark it had been achieved!
Looks a bit like a painting that picture for some reason but hopefully the following cheesy one of me proves I was there!
