From Great Cock Up we retraced our steps back to the corner. From there the route up Meal Fell is obvious. It looks a little steep (and is) so we made it about half-way up before we decided that a bit of lunch would give us a boost on our way to the top.
Suitably refreshed we set off to the summit which took another twenty minutes or so. It is an uphill toil but you could tell it wasn't going to be the longest haul up to the top.
We met a chap at the top who kindly took a photo of the two of us in the wind shelter although there wasn't much in the way of wind today.
Two down on the day we set off for number 3, Great Sca Fell.
