Now having completed Latrigg we went back to Keswick, dried off and popped out for some lunch. As we began to wander to the hotel and family had decided to go to the pool and I didn't fancy that so I was offered the chance to go off for a walk on my own!
I decided I would go and try out Dodd, which is a fell in a forestry commission area between Keswick and Bassenthwaite.
I have to be honest, I wasn't sure I could be bothered, plus I do like having my little pal with me on these walks but, no matter. Off I went.
The walk is along forest roads in the main and so I won't bore you with too many pictures.

There were also signposts all the way up showing the way to go to the Summit so it really isn't worth waffling on about turn right, turn left etc within the context of this journal.
The summit has a memorial on (below) and, again, cracking views of Bassenthwaite, Derwent and Keswick.

For the walk down I went a slightly different route which made it a nice circular walk. Again it was still within the forest and along forest paths / roads so nothing too difficult.
The whole walk took me one and three quarter hours but I think when I do it with Theo I would take longer and set off in the morning so you can really enjoy the views.
I saw this on a tree right near the bottom. I did as instructed and was there for 23 minutes before someone told me it was for mountain bikers! (only kidding!)
Update - 23rd April 2019 Theo completed this fell - he's catching me up!
